The twenty fourth session of the IMO Assembly, from 21 November to 1 December 2005, adopted resolutions that included amendments to the International Convention on Load Lines, 1966, Framework and procedures for the voluntary IMO Member State audit scheme, new legally-binding instrument on ship recycling; revised Guidelines for the identification and designation for particularly sensitive sea areas and revision of the Guidelines for the prevention and suppression of the smuggling of drugs,
psychotropic substances and precursor chemicals on ships (resolution A.872(20)).
