A companion to the FAL Convention, the IMO Compendium on Facilitation and Electronic Business offers guidance on taking advantage of new technology to simplify and speed up the interchange of information required by the various elements involved in international shipping. It was adopted by the Facilitation Committee at its 28th session (30 October-3 November 2000) and originally issued as FAL.5/Circ.15 (19 February 2001).
